Everything’s on the Table
...and I mean everything...
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”
— Romans 8:11 (NLT)
Forgiveness for Our Past
Let’s start with this truth:
If God can raise Jesus from the dead, everything—and I mean everything—is back on the table.
You thought your past disqualified you? God says, Watch Me turn your mess into a ministry.”
You think your marriage is too far gone? God says, “I rolled a stone away once—I can roll some silence out of your living room.”
Forgiveness isn’t God pretending He didn’t see what happened—it’s Him saying, “I saw it all, and I still picked you.” That’s not cover-up grace. That’s comeback grace.
Here at Heritage, we don’t serve a God who deletes history; we serve a God who rewrites destiny.
So stop rereading that regret-filled chapter. God already published the sequel—it’s called Grace, and spoiler alert: it ends in redemption.
Sometimes the biggest miracle isn’t when God moves a mountain—it’s when He moves you past your past.
Power in Our Present
You ever meet somebody who says, “God just doesn’t move like He used to”?
Friend, that’s like saying the sun stopped shining because you forgot to open the blinds.
The same Spirit that blasted the stone off that tomb is still in business—and He lives in you.
That means when you walk into Heritage Church, you’re not walking into a service… you’re stepping into a resurrection zone.
Dead faith? Dry worship? Stuck habits?
That tomb’s empty, and so should be every excuse you’ve been hiding behind.
Faith doesn’t deny the problem—it declares God’s power in spite of it.
So if you came to Heritage carrying chains—bitterness, addiction, shame—good news: God doesn’t just break chains; He melts the metal.
You’re not here by accident. You’re here because the same power that raised Jesus from the dead said, “You’re next.”
Infinite Hope for Our Future
The resurrection isn’t the end of the story—it’s the relaunch of every story.
If Jesus can walk out of a tomb, your next chapter can walk out of anything.
Faith doesn’t just look back on what Jesus did; it leans forward into what He’s still doing.
That’s why we’re not a museum of what used to be—we’re a movement of what’s about to be.
If God raised Jesus from the dead, your best days aren’t behind you—they’re still waiting for your RSVP.
So stop rehearsing your failures, stop predicting your defeats, and stop underestimating your God.
If the grave couldn’t hold Him, your fear doesn’t stand a chance.
You’re not finished. You’re becoming.
And around here, we don’t say, “It is what it is.”
We say, “It’s about to be what God says it will be.”
So Excited…
I can’t tell you how excited I am to begin this new chapter—partnering with you to see God’s Kingdom come and His will be done right here at Heritage Church. Tomorrow marks a new beginning, and I’ll be in the office this week ready to roll up my sleeves, pray big prayers, and maybe—just maybe—grab some coffee or lunch with whoever’s brave enough to invite the new guy (ha!).
But seriously—let’s connect.
I want to hear your story.
What brought you here?
What has God done in your life?
And what do you believe He still wants to do?
Because this next season isn’t just about growing a church—it’s about growing together.
Here’s what I believe with all my heart: I’m a hope dealer, and everyone is dealing something. But God deals something greater—
Forgiveness for our past,
Power in our present, and
Hope for our future.
That’s why every morning you’ll receive a Daily Grit and Grace devotional straight from my heart to your inbox—something real, raw, and rooted in God’s Word.
Then every Friday, you’ll get the Weekly Highlight—a moment to celebrate what God’s already done and get fired up for what’s next at Heritage Church.
Because if God can raise Jesus from the dead, then He can raise anything—your faith, your marriage, your purpose, your future.
The Best Is Yet to Come,
Rev. John Roberts
