MOVE WITH WHAT YOU’VE GOT
Why Faith Works Even When Your Plan Doesn’t
WELCOME TO MY LIFE
Have you ever met someone who refuses to do anything until the universe aligns perfectly?
Like… they won’t cook until they’ve watched four YouTube tutorials, bought three new appliances, and created a color-coded binder labeled:
“MEAL PREP STRATEGY 2032.”
Meanwhile, God is in the corner saying:
“Child… just turn on the stove.”
Some of us are waiting on a perfect plan when God is waiting on a simple step.
IMPERFECT STEPS ARE BIBLICAL STEPS
If you look at Scripture, you’ll notice a pattern:
God gives directions… but never details.
Abraham: “Go to the land I will show you.”
Translation: Start walking. I’ll fill in the GPS later.
Moses: “Lift your staff.”
Translation: Your plan won’t part the sea. But your obedience will.
Peter: “Come.”
Translation: Step on the water first—then I’ll talk buoyancy.
God isn’t allergic to imperfect steps. He invites them.
WAITING FOR PERFECT LEADS TO DISCOURAGED, DISILLUSIONED, AND DISENCHANTED
Some people think waiting equals wisdom.
And sometimes, yes—it does.
But MANY times?
Waiting becomes stalling.
Stalling becomes fear.
Fear becomes disillusionment.
And disillusionment eventually becomes:
“Maybe God didn’t call me after all…”
Let me say it like this:
The enemy doesn’t need to destroy you—he just needs to delay you until you quit.
That’s why God nudges, pushes, and occasionally shoves His people into forward motion.
YOU DON’T NEED A PERFECT PLAN—YOU NEED A PRESENT GOD
When Israel stood at the Red Sea, Moses did not have:
a naval strategy
a boat
a committee meeting
or a five-year plan
He had:
God’s presence
and a stick
And guess what?
That was enough.
If God is with you, the plan doesn’t have to be perfect—because He is.
Faith isn’t flawless execution.
Faith is movement with divine companionship.
If God is with you, the plan doesn’t have to be perfect—because He is.
YOU ONLY DISCOVER PROBLEMS WHILE YOU’RE MOVING
You can’t fix a stuck car until it’s rolling.
You can’t steer a parked boat.
And you’ll never improve a plan you won’t start.
Revelation often rides on the back of obedience.
As you step forward:
your mistakes reveal themselves
your strategy sharpens
your instincts grow
your confidence increases
your clarity comes
God says, “Walk,” not because your plan is perfect, but because walking is how He perfects you.
MOVEMENT CREATES MOMENTUM; WAITING CREATES WORRY
The longer you wait:
the more you doubt
the more you fear
the more you imagine failure
the more you talk yourself out of obedience
That’s why God told Joshua:
“Arise, go over this Jordan.” (Joshua 1:2)
Not:
“Think about it.”
“Sleep on it.”
“Hold a conference.”
“Create a color-coded blueprint.”
Just go.
The miracle didn’t happen
until their feet hit the water.
Sometimes God waits for you to take a step so He can take over.
SUCCESS ISN’T THE RESULT OF A PERFECT PLAN—IT’S THE RESULT OF FAITH IN MOTION
Most testimonies begin with:
“I didn’t know what I was doing…”
“I felt unqualified…”
“I wasn’t ready…”
And yet—God moved because they moved.
David didn’t have a battle plan for Goliath.
His “strategy” was:
Grab a rock
Run fast
Hope God shows up
And heaven said, “Perfect. Let’s use that.”
Faith turns shaky beginnings into supernatural victories.
God can’t bless a plan you won’t start.
FAITH ISN’T ABOUT CERTAINTY—IT’S ABOUT COURAGE
If you wait until you’re confident…
you’ll never start.
If you wait until it’s safe…
you’ll never grow.
If you wait until it’s perfect…
you’ll never obey.
Faith says:
“I don’t know everything…but I know God.”
So I move.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY
Here’s how to move with what you’ve got:
Identify one step—any step—that moves you toward obedience.
Stop rehearsing your risks and start remembering God’s record.
Invite God into the plan instead of asking Him for a flawless one.
Expect to adjust—growth requires iteration.
Move anyway.
Faith is spelled: M-O-V-E.
Where you are is not where you’ll stay.
What’s unclear now will become clear later.
The plan may be imperfect—but your God is not.
So move forward.
Not because you’ve figured it all out…
but because He already has.
A perfect plan without movement produces nothing.
An imperfect step with faith produces miracles.
