Ash Wednesday begins this Wednesday…

And no…
this is not the night we gather to announce what we’re giving up for Lent.

(Not another year of “I’m quitting chocolate for Jesus.”)

This is something older.
Darker.
Holier.
And honestly… kind of unsettling in the best way.

Ashes are not cute. They tell the truth.

This Wednesday, February 18th at 7 p.m., we begin Lent together:

Rev. John will be preaching a message called: Smudged Saints

Because that might be the most honest description of us there is.

Come for a night that is reverent, visceral, and strangely hopeful.

A night where we remember who we are…and whose we are.

Don’t miss the beginning of the journey.
